Dear America—The Diary of Minnie Booner by Judy Blundell

The Dear America series continues with this latest title—The Diary of Minnie Bonner: A City Tossed and Broken.  14-year-old Minnie is forced to work as a lady’s maid and move to San Francisco, California.  Once there, the 1906 San Francisco earthquake catches the city by surprise.  Not only are hundreds of people killed, but an out of control fire destroys homes and buildings and threatens many lives.  Blundell creates a fast paced story filled with suspense and fun characters that readers of this series will enjoy. Recommend for J Fiction.
